The New Year

    2011 I can't believe it!!! I thought for the New Year I would start something I have never done before like a blog.... Not sure how all of this works yet but I will soon figure it out....

     New Years Resolution - I was talking to my son Nathan (age 8) about what his goals for the New Year are ( I think it is important to set goals no matter what age). Nathan looked at me and said " Mom my New Year regualation is that I am going to be a better listener." Trying not to laugh I said "Nathan that is a great goal to set for yourself". It's moments like that when I realize just how little he still is. I know that in the next year or two these little slip ups will disappear and the hand holding will slowly fade away. There will soon come the time when he won't want to snuggle as much anymore either.  I hold on tight to these moments and spend as much time snuggling with him as I can, because in a blink of an eye he turned 8 and  in a blink of an eye he will be 16 interested in other things then his Mom. I am so thankful to be his mom and my New Year resolution is going to be to keep track of all the cute things he says and sweet moments we have.
     Then there is my sweet little baby girl Kayelea Jean (age 2 1/2) I have made her a New Years Resolution of my own POTTY TRAINING! Ugh where do I begin with this.... Oh Kayelea, I have bought every kind of toilet from musical potties to beautifully hand painted toilets which hold toilet paper and books... Still she refuses to sit on any of them... This with Nathan was so easy I just took the diaper off and that was the end of that... With Kayelea I took the diaper off and found wet sometimes dirty surprises all around the house.... She is one those kinds of kids where everything is on her terms only, but I have now put my foot down no more nice mom... We are getting this done before her 3rd birthday 3 months and one day... Everyone wish me luck I will need it....
